First and foremost, everyone recommends becoming a part of a writing circle. It is critical to get your ideas down and expose them to daylight before they get to the audience.
A good editor will save your bottom line. Point of fact, editing is more than just grammar and spelling. This activity includes pacing and flow, acceptable levels of suspension of disbelief, and even “What in the world were you thinking?”
A good pilot group will also be worth their weight in paper. They think of things that just aren’t visible to anyone familiar with the story.
