Fern Jardín was born in 1977 in Long Beach, CA, to native Texans and grew up wandering the United States. An avid blogger, Fern maintains vehemently that all her works are pure fiction.
She now lives in a small town near a big city with her husband and their children, dog, and fish. Naturally gypsy-footed and multitasking, she spends most of her time wondering what else she could be doing and where else she could be going.
Fern reads romances and can’t help but think “None of this would have been a problem if they’d just talked to each other from the beginning! This novel would have been 20 pages and had a lot less crying.” Several dozen shorts and novels later, she decided to see if communicating like adults could make for an immersive and steamy story line.
Her opening short story, “…And Obey,” introduces us to a world where the key to happiness is understanding your own desires and communicating that to your partner(s). Please note that these stories are not intended as a guide and are in no way recommended to be tried at home. It is, after all, just an erotic fantasy.
